Culture and social media have a negative perception of people with dating history or relationship baggage. Tinder wanted to change that mindset and help Gen Z singles feel more confident about getting back out in the dating scene. With ExCycle, we took their exes’ clothes and transformed them into killer comeback outfits.

By merging sustainability with self-expression, ExCycle activated a highly engaged audience, creating real-world impact both online and offline, and positioned Tinder as a cultural leader in modern dating.

< Our pop-up event was held at the trendy TUMBAO in NYC, where attendees were invited to bring their ex’s clothing in exchange for a preloved vintage piece. We had an on-site stylist, embroidery artist, and seamstress to help customize their pieces and get their new comeback photos taken by our fashion photographer.

> We even got a totally organic, unpaid shoutout from the one and only Blakely Thornton <3
