Singer/artist Janelle Monaé had just started a new partnership with Belvedere Vodka, and were wanting a meaningful platform to launch their collab across the U.S. We pitched for the account, and won with the platform “A Beautiful Future”, which also perfectly aligned with Janelle’s “Fem the Future” movement.
The campaign launched on Oscar weekend, bringing awareness to the lack of female directors in the Academy’s +100 years (only 5 women have ever been nominated for Best Director and only 1 has ever won). We curated 4 talented female filmmakers to give them a platform and a simple opportunity: show the world what a beautiful future looks like to you. Turns out, when you promote diverse storytellers, you get some pretty amazing diverse stories.
